Carol Nelson was born and raised in Duluth, Minnesota. She graduated with a bachelor of science degree in medical technology from the University of Minnesota, and worked for many years in hospital and clinical laboratories, including 14 years with Kaiser Permanente in Denver, Colorado.
Carol has always had an interest in art, but it was later in life that she began to explore artistic expressions for her natural creativity.
Since retiring from the laboratory, Carol has devoted all her efforts to painting and creating. She is in demand as a workshop teacher, and travels the country teaching other artists her approach to abstract mixed media painting. She also gives private and semi-private instruction in her home studio in Aurora, Colorado.
Carol is married, has 5 children, 4 grandchildren, and 3 dogs.
More information about the painting can be found on my website.
